Low-cost industrial Ethernet switches

Harting has introduced a new range of low-cost industrial Ethernet switches which combine low-profile mounting with ease of installation in IP30 industrial environments.

Harting has introduced a new range of low-cost industrial Ethernet switches which combine low-profile mounting with ease of installation in IP30 industrial environments. The new eCon2000 Series offer an unmanaged Ethernet switch configuration for use with 10 Mbit/s or 100 Mbit/s Ethernet networks conforming to the IEEE 802.3 standard, and feature automatic detection of the data-transmission rate. Devices are available with three, four or five RJ-45 ports, all featuring auto-negotiation, auto-polarity and auto-crossing and operating in the non-blocking store and forward switching mode.

The switches support simple and rapid network diagnostics with integrated LEDs at every port.

The robust aluminium housing measures only 46.5 (W) x 25.5 (H) x 105.4 (D) mm and lends itself to a 'flat' mounting configuration.

It is easily adapted for mounting onto a 'top hat' 35 mm mounting rail according to EN 60 715.

The eCon2000 Series operates from a 12-30 V DC pluggable power supply, and has an operating temperature range from -10 to +70C.

It meets all relevant IEC and DIN EN standards for electromagnetic compatibility, and is fully RoHS compliant.

Typical applications are inside cabinets in the industrial, transport and building automation sectors, particularly in networks with large populations of switches.
